Al Ferrell

Albert Ferrell was born in Philadelphia. His interest in wood was sparked by a woodworking class in high school. He became a logger, clearing timber in both Lancaster and Chester County, PA area. This evolved into a wholesale firewood business that kept Al busy for the next 40 years. Al retired to N.C. in 1997 and began making rocking horses. He learned to carve and two years ago began making violins and wooden dolls. Al is currently learning to play the violin. He has received numerous awards in all areas of his creations.
